September 6 is our Morning Worship Service celebrating the labors of our countrymen. It takes all of us applying the gifts and talents God has given us as we seek to serve Him each day. Clarence Mann will sing for us that morning and Bro. John will give us a special message from God's Holy Word. Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join us!

Labor Day

Public holiday in the United States

Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday of September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements in the United States. Beginning in the late 19th century, as the trade union and labor movements grew, trade unionists proposed that a day be set aside to celebrate labor. "Labor Day" was promoted by the Central Labor Union and the Knights of Labor, which organized the first parade in New York City

Everybody come at 6:30 pm as we celebrate Fall with a nice craft project and a surprise on the side.

Bro. John answered the call to plant his life and field of service at Blue Ridge Baptist Church for our Lord in August 1993. He has devoted his life to our Lord Jesus and our chuch family and community here. He is a deliverer of God's Holy Word and never preaches the same sermon twice. He teaches Sunday School., Prayer and Share, and two Bible Studies each week on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. He visits and calls our visitors, our absentees, and those in the hospital. He will visit you family members and friends when requested. He cares about everyone and those you Love just as Jesus does.

Please be sure to let him know of your Love and appreciation during the month of September. A love offering will be received. We will have a cake and celebrate at the Fellowship Lunch on September 13th.

Governor Kay Ivey appointed Dennis Hill to represent Elmore County Commission District 3 for the remainder of the term previously held by Troy Stubbs.  Commissioner Hill has a background in law enforcement where he has worked with the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and the Elmore County Sheriff’s office a combined total of 32 years.

Commissioner Hill is a high school graduate of Tallassee High School and has a Criminal Justice degree from Troy University of Montgomery.  He has served on numerous boards and committees which include Elmore County Partnership for Children, Alabama Peace Officer Association, Alabama Police Benevolent Association, Elmore County Children’s Policy Council, Edgewood Academy School Board, and Children’s Ministry Committee at Santuck Baptist Church.

All men and boys are invited to our Men's Breakfast.

Dr. Kevin Garrett is the new missions strategist for Elmore Baptist Association. He has served in various church positions since 1987 including most recently as pastor of First Baptist Church Atmore for the past seven years. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Jacksonville State University and a master of divinity and doctor of ministry from New Orleans Seminary. Garrett and his wife, Tina, have two adult sons and three grandchildren.

We will have a Hotdog/chilli supper with sides, and desserts, along with fresh hot popcorn for the movie. We wll present a family movie good for all ages on the BIG screen out front. Tables and chairs will be set up or you may bring you own outdoor chairs and/or blankets. We will have a big and small inflatable for the kids to play with in the front yard behind the tables and chairs. the Kids love this!

At TOPS Club, we’re all about connection and support. We offer a simple program that works – since 1948, we’ve been helping people Take Off and Keep Off Pounds Sensibly. Our members help each other physically, mentally and emotionally. It’s weekly check-ins, the accountability you’ve been looking for, and unwavering support – all in an accepting, non-judgmental environment.
